Furniture making is sometimes chaotic. A shape or detail can be the driving force behind a piece of furniture. Starting with a rough drawing, the piece then flows through an intense observation of grain orientation and form. Letting the work create itself through design, fabrication, and finishing is what makes a delicate, vibrant piece of art. I enjoy twisting and bending wood to it's limit to create shapes not normally seen in wood. Having a formal training at the world renowned College of the Redwoods Fine Furniture Program has given me incredible hand skills and an eye for the artistry of aesthetics, which is incorporated into each piece I create.
